CT Concert Center ("CTCC," "we," "our," or "us") is an iOS app that helps you discover live music events in Connecticut. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain language. If anything is unclear, please email us at [email protected].
1. The short version
CT Concert Center is designed to work without an account. You don't sign in, give us your name, give us your email, or give us your phone number. We don't sell or share your information for advertising. The data we do collect is the minimum needed to deliver the features you use — push notifications, in-app purchases, and basic event submissions.
If you only read one section, read this one.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Event submissions. If you tap "Submit an Event" and fill out the form, we receive the event details you typed (title, date, venue, description, link, and so on). We do not require or collect your name, email, or any other identifying information when you submit.
- In-app purchases. When you purchase Encore, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details, name, or billing address. We do receive an anonymous receipt confirming the purchase via our payment provider, RevenueCat (see §5).
Information collected automatically
- Anonymous device identifier. When you first open the app, we generate a random anonymous install ID (a UUID) on your device. This ID has no link to your name, email, Apple ID, or any other personal identifier. It's used to associate notification preferences with your device and to recognize the same device across launches.
- Push notification token. If you enable push notifications, Apple's Push Notification Service issues an opaque token that lets us deliver pushes to your device. We store this token alongside the anonymous install ID described above. The token is not personal information by itself and cannot be used to identify you outside of our notification system.
- Notification preferences. The genres, cities, and venues you've selected for notifications, plus the master on/off toggle. Stored in our database so we can deliver the right pushes to your device.
- Anonymous purchase identifier. Our payment provider, RevenueCat, generates an anonymous app user ID stored on your device, used to track whether you've purchased Encore. This ID is not linked to your real identity.
Information we do not collect
